I liked writing my Monday post last week and I figured I would make it a weekly series! I love starting off the week on a positive note, and I want to feature things I find inspiring or fun. I hope you enjoy these posts and they start your week off right. The picture above was taken last spring at the Missouri Botanical Garden in St Louis – I’m so ready for flowers and sunshine! It’s been so grey and rainy here lately — but at least it’s almost February!
Food
I always have chicken breast frozen in the freezer, but I fall into the same few recipes to cook it! I know chicken has lots of potential, but it starts to get boring after a while (if you know what I mean??). So I found this feature and it has 23 different chicken breast recipes! I’m going to try the chicken alfredo bake this week – and the parm & chicken skillet looks delish also.
Beauty
Since I’m at home I don’t do makeup everyday, but if I’m running errands or going to be working in a coffee shop I do freshen up a bit. I’m loving the “no makeup” makeup trend and it’s great for daily wear! More info here.
Fitness
Goal – be active EVERYDAY this week! No excuses. I’ve posted on Instagram (@helenlovesblog) a few times this week sharing some fitness. Posting on IG is a good way to make myself accountable! Plus there is no way I don’t have 30 minutes each day for a workout.
Also, this post has a ton of great tips for becoming a morning person! I used to like getting up early but I’ve gotten lazy lately….I might have to implement some of these strategies this week.

We are going to be moving in a few months (not sure where yet, thanks residency application process…) and I have been looking for houses in a few places just for fun! Looking at Realtor or Zillow is seriously addicting. So when I saw this article on Apartment Therapy it immediately caught my eye. There are so many apps I hadn’t heard of – I’ve downloaded a few of them already!
