Lexington in January
Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend and are feeling recharged as you start the new week. This last week has been a total whirlwind for us. We found out that we will be moving to Lexington, Kentucky in June and have been working like crazy to figure that out. From where to live, renting or buying, finding job options, coordinating a move – there is a LOT to figure out.
There are so many details to moving and living in a new city that I could probably write full-time about it for weeks! My mom actually suggested I should start a series on moving to share our experiences and I think I’m going to do that. Right now I’m thinking biweekly would work, but it might be more often when it gets closer. If you are moving somewhere you know all the posts might not apply, but if you are relocating to a new place I’m hoping this can be a guide! Well guide if things go right, potentially some “what not to do”s if things don’t.
Moving from Minneapolis to St Louis a few years ago was difficult because I didn’t know anyone besides my then-fiance and now husband. Here we are a few years later going to do it all again! Neither of us know anyone in KY so it’s going to be one big adventure. I haven’t decided if I will start the posts next week or in two weeks, so be sure to check back!
