If you know me you know I gravitate towards darker (solid) colors. My Instagram feed and outfit choices confirm this! I tend to wear black, navy, or grey 75% of the time. I’m trying to break that habit and this white eyelet top from LOFT is helping! I got it for 50% off (it has been at 40% off frequently!) and it is a perfect addition to my summer wardrobe. I can’t wait to wear it more!
It’s perfect with shorts (I love this distressed pair and this scalloped pair!), dark jeans (like pictured), or even a denim skirt. I think you could even style it with my favorite black pants, although I wouldn’t really call it work appropriate 😉 OR you could go for some super fun colored denim like this pink pair!
One shoulder tops are perfect for trying out the “shoulder” trend without committing to fully off the shoulder. I love this navy top with embroidered details, as well as this pink one with crochet details. This Madewell top has a super cute sleeve detail and I love the simplicity of this Pleione version too.
Also if you’ve been following me on Instagram (go add me if you don’t! @helenlovesblog) you probably have noticed me complaining about rain. Well it’s been raining for days in St Louis and TODAY is supposed to be somewhat sunny! Yippee! We got inches and inches of rain so I’m ready for some sun.
I also had to include a photo of the street we took these photos on. Flora Place is the most beautiful street in our neighborhood and has the prettiest old homes! The street was developed in the early 20th century and is my favorite place to walk. I keep finding new houses I love!
