Last year I bought my first pair of white jeans and I’ve been trying to wear them more this year! They are a fun option for warmer temps and I really think they are a versatile piece. If you’ve heard the rule “no white before Memorial Day” (and abide by it) I wanted to recap some of my posts with white jeans and link to a few great pairs.
So I was breaking the rules here wearing white in FEBRUARY. But I still love this pink & white look!
This post combines white denim with my favorite pink peplum top – plus I liked adding the contrast of my brown wedges!
I think this chambray outfit is so classic and would be perfect year round. You could easily add a longer sweater or boots for the fall.
Finally I loved styling my white denim with this bright pink top in this post.
So now onto the informational part of the post!
- I love wearing tops that are long with white jeans. I feel like white can make you look wider (it does for me!) so I make sure all my tops are long.
- Be sure to invest in jeans that are thicker OR wear nude underwear. White is really see-through and you need to be careful what you wear underneath.
- Thicker jeans won’t show any bumps/etc but thinner jeans will – another consideration!
- Be sure to clean them quickly if you get them dirty. I’ve definitely washed my white denim way more than my normal jeans since they do get dirty easily.
Here are some of my picks – I love this Under $50 pair from Old Navy. A great price to try out a trend! If I buy another pair of white denim I would buy this pair that’s under $75. I also love these distressed versions from Old Navy or Articles of Society (both under $60!). Shorts are another fun option to wear white (and great for the heat!) and I love this distressed pair from Topshop.
If you’re looking for a new pair of denim for summer, you should really consider white! By picking a flattering fit and the right top you can rock them – trust me!
