Back Into the Swing of Things

Now that we’re almost two weeks into January, how are your resolutions going? Mine are “going” but not very well 🙂 haha. I talked about my resolutions on Friday and am trying to fit them into my January routine so they can become habits. The workout part has been the hardest because I bruised my tailbone skiing over Christmas and doing any leg workouts makes it super sore. So I’ve been pausing HIIT or running until it feels a bit better – not worth exacerbating anything.

I bought a new dry shampoo after Christmas – you might have seen me talk about it on Instagram – and it’s so amazing. If you want fantastic dry shampoo you NEED to check out Living Proof. It’s the best I’ve ever used! It’s super valuable on days like today – aka Mondays – when you don’t want to have to get ready from scratch. Add some under your hair, rub it around, and voila! Your hair will look fantastic. Get some, trust me! Plus it smells delightful – highly recommend! Oh and watch this video from Brighton Keller (one of my favorite bloggers!) for how to make your hair amazing with dry shampoo.

I do love the run up to the holidays, but it’s sure nice to be back to normal. We took down our Christmas decorations this past weekend and it’s so fresh to have the house be back to how it usually is. It also makes me SUPER excited to get our new family room furniture!

Oh and one of the most motivating things for working out HAS to be cute clothes. My husband got me this vest for Christmas and I can’t wait to wear it in a bit warmer temps. But I think I won’t have as many outfit posts this January as I do in a normal month – full disclosure. I’m a bit shopped out after Christmas and am trying to refrain on buying more while I clean out my closet. I think it will be a nice month to focus on other “lifestyle” areas – home, motivation, etc! As always, let me know if you have any posts you want to see.

Work has been crazy and I’m so excited for this 3 day weekend – anyone else?! I had no idea that we would get MLK day off and it’s SUCH an amazing surprise. I also have a few days off at the end of the month so January is going to fly by! Also it’s supposed to snow today and tomorrow and I’m happy to hunker down and hang around. We have a date night planned for tomorrow night so as long as we can get to that I’ll be happy 🙂

Ok well here’s to a fast workday and some crazy snow tonight! I’m ready to hang around and do nothing. I hope you have a fantastic Friday and a great weekend!
