February 2018 Recap

Another month has come and gone – February is the shortest month but it really flew by! I was just telling my husband that 2018 is shaping up to be as speedy as 2017!

I finally got back into a normal posting routine and really loved this month’s outfits! So I wanted to share a recap of my posts, and share some things that didn’t make it to the blog.

this month off the blog

I tried some new restaurants in Lexington that I wanted to share! Both are in the Summit so easy to find. I went to dinner at Core Life Eatery – I had their steak salad bowl which was delicious. They’re definitely working out the kinks, but that’s to be expected with a new place! All our items were correct and delicious, but it looked like some others had issues with not getting the right items. (How that happens when they make it in front of you I’m not sure? So it might just be picky/unhappy people…..) But I will definitely go back for a healthy dinner option!

I also went to Babalu with a friend – which was delicious but boy the portions are small. Definitely yummy but definitely pricey! It’s tapas-style so things are meant to be small, but to get a full meal you have to spend a lot. So I’m not sure if I would go back again? It was fun but for the price there are better places in Lexington. Talking to some others who had been there they felt the same way, so just know that if you visit!

Most importantly – we FINALLY GOT OUR NEW FURNITURE!! I cannot explain how much better our family room looks. It’s honestly shocking. I just stand there and am amazed at how good it is. I’m getting a few final pieces and then I will share everything! So be sure to check back later in the month.

Oh and we planned a trip to Asheville! We decided to go there for a long weekend in March – I’m so excited for eating, drinking, and some hiking. It will be a fun mini-vacation. I got a ton of great food and drink suggestions from my coworkers, but I would love to hear anything you guys have!

So there you have it – the second month of the year is over! How crazy is that…I hope you guys had a great month, and here’s to hoping the rain stops and the temps warm up!
