closet essentials – madewell jeans

Ok you should probably file this under “obvious post”, but I LOVE my Madewell jeans!

I bought them on a whim last summer – a shopping night for work actually! – and have loved them ever sense. I don’t reach for any of my other pairs of denim now that I’ve had these ones. I’m actually saving the other denim I don’t wear to trade in and get $20 off each time I go to Madewell! (read more about that program here)

I love them because they are super flattering and they retain their shape. They haven’t stretched out at all since I’ve had them! I rarely wash them – you shouldn’t wash jeans very often actually – and I’m sure that’s helped.

I rave about them to everyone who asks – yes, I’m sure it’s obnoxious, but they are that amazing! And as much as I love spotlighting new trends on here, sometimes you have to talk about the basics that you have to have. And Madewell jeans are one of my closet workhorses that you’ll see again and again.

If you need a basic pair for everyday, I’d recommend this wash. I have this black wash on my wishlist and I love this distressed pair!
