Today is our third wedding anniversary!
So much has happened in the last year, from moving to buying a house, getting new jobs, making new friends – it’s felt like every month has brought something NEW. I don’t always get really personal on here, so today I wanted to share some fun things that have happened this year in our relationship!
we bought a house
…(this isn’t it – this is when we left St Louis!) and we love it! We love our neighborhood, the layout, having our own space. It’s so fun to be able to decorate it together and make it feel like home!
we got new jobs
…change is hard guys. I LOVED my previous job and it’s been hard to start somewhere new. And that’s nothing compared to my husband – life as a resident is tough and he’s rocked it!
we traveled to some national parks
…and we will be back! We’ve talked a ton about how we want to hike rim to rim in the Grand Canyon.
we explored Lexington together
…from Marikka’s to Carson’s to Suggin’s – finding favorite places together is always fun! Oh and we love being able to bike right from our house and not have to load up the car! HUGE bonus.
In some ways three ways seems like a long time, but more often it feels like the blink of an eye. So much has changed from when we got married – where we live, what we do – but a lot has stayed the same. Plus I’ve reached the point where it’s no longer odd to talk about my “husband” – ha! That was a weird phrase for a few years 🙂
Well we’re going to be celebrating at Tony’s tonight – can’t wait to finally try it out! Before my husband goes to work a night shift, so he’ll have some steak for breakfast. Residency life I guess!
