Yesterday we took Christmas photos and I CANNOT WAIT to get them back!
I found our photographer on Instagram – if you don’t follow Kelsey Malicote you should! I love her style and way she seems to capture normal moments. When she announced on Instagram they were doing sessions at a Christmas tree farm I was so psyched!
I wanted to take photos this year because it’s the last holiday season as a couple and it’s just a special time in our lives. I picked this outfit for two reasons. I wanted something classic and something that shows I’m pregnant! I also posted some options on my Instagram stories, so thanks to everyone who helped me pick this one. Plus this dress is only $22 – whole post about it here! In case you’re curious, my husband wore a red sweater, light blue shirt, and dark blue jeans.
And I didn’t want to wear something oversized that didn’t highlight my baby bump and just made me look bigger. Maybe next year I’ll go for the big sweater and jeans, but this year I wanted something form-fitting.
Kelsey was so sweet to work with and directed us – which I definitely need for photos. I want a photographer who will order us into cute positions and help us look our best. We can’t wait to get them back – and the few photos she showed us looked so amazing. At this rate we will be doing this again next year!!!
Side note – has anyone had a photographer come take photos of their newborn in the hospital? I’ve never considered it but it would be another fun moment to capture. Obviously not the day of delivery because that would be rough 🙂 Let me know in the comments!
