top items on my baby registry

My baby shower is this weekend (YAY!!!!) so today I’m sharing some top items on my baby registry.

I can’t wait to celebrate with my family and friends and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t excited about cute baby gear! I’ve shared some pregnancy updates in bumpdates (here and here), but we haven’t shared much about baby and not pregnancy. So here’s some info on what we’re planning for our baby girl!

Baby girl clothes from Zara and Old Navy are going to be the death of me!!!

I’m trying to keep my registry super minimal because we don’t want our house taken over by things we won’t use. So here are some of the items I’m hoping to get, in no particular order —

Solly Baby Wrap – it’s funny how baby wearing is so popular now, and it definitely didn’t use to be. I don’t remember anyone wearing their babies around 10+ years ago – and now I see people with wraps whenever I’m out running errands. Having your baby and being handsfree just seems like a win-win! We wanted something that we can wear around the house right away (compared to others that are too big) and even my husband is psyched about this.

Lovevery Playpen – I love this because it’s simple and easy to store! A few friends have recommended it and I know some people who bought it when their kids were older (like 6 months haha) and regretted not buying it sooner.

Rock & Play – an essential for when you need to put baby down. This has to be one of the most popular baby items right now!

Dock-a-Tot – another super hot item! We are excited to use this around the house when we need to put baby down. And I love the marble pattern! I’ve heard it’s super great for traveling too if you are going to someone’s house and don’t want to have to hold your baby the whole time.

Fawn Designs Diaper Bag – my husband isn’t sold on this (he believes that diaper bags should still look like the briefcases they used to… NO THANKS) but I’m in love! Backpacks are so functional and this one is so cute.

Nuna Carseat – so light and we love that it doesn’t require a base! We won’t be buying a base for my husband’s car (it’s so old we never drive it together), but we wanted a carseat we could use without a base if needed.

Pack & Play – we are planning on using this for sleeping in our room for the first 6 or so months. Plus I cannot tell you how many times I’ve seen pack & plays used at the cabin, traveling – they are a true essential.

Board books – super random but books are such a fun gift. And we definitely want board books so they don’t get destroyed!

LOTS of basic onesies and sleepers – most of my friends have said their kids were in onesies almost exclusively for the first few months. Those cute outfits are adorable but just not practical for a one month old – so we’re hoping to get a good stash of onesies to rotate through.

We’re trying to keep the baby registry minimal but let me know if there’s any other big-ticket items I’m forgetting! We also included some more basic items like diapers and bottles but those aren’t as exciting to feature 🙂 Is there anything you couldn’t live without? Or anything you bought and never used? I would love to know other items we should consider! Let me know what you think in the comments!
