Lately the only places I get to are drive-thrus or our pediatrician’s office!
We are trying to keep baby girl away from indoor crowds until she is at least a month (hello flu and RSV!). So most of my days are spent at home, but I’ve been trying to get dressed everyday. Getting dressed and throwing on some concealer makes me feel like a real person – even if I’m only getting out of PJs and into my favorite Lulu leggings!

I feel like we’ve been settling into a “routine” over here this past week – which is awesome. I don’t mean schedule (jokes with a newborn) but more how our days usually roll. We get up sometime between 7 and 9 – depending on when she nursed overnight – and I’ll have some breakfast and coffee. She’s been pretty awake in the mornings so we hang out with our favorite play mat. After that we move into a cycle of eating and sleeping!
I try to go for a walk in the early afternoon or “do” something else – like go hang in another part of the house or do laundry. We spend a lot of time in our family room so a change of scenery is nice! She’s also more and more awake which is super fun. I can’t wait for her to smile for real!
I never know what day it is anymore because it doesn’t matter to me or my husband – and it’s kind of fun just spending time at home with no other responsibilities. As she gets bigger we will be able to do more – but right now our chill days are pretty nice. And I’m reminding myself that the time is flying by and we won’t get these lazy days back!
Well we have no weekend plans – shocker I know! Always crossing my fingers for nice weather so we can get outside with our stroller. Maybe we will go grab some donuts or Chick-fil-A or something – we have big goals for our outings these days haha.
