Let me start off by saying I love a great trip to Target or H&M as much as the next person!
But this year I’m trying to be really intentional about what I buy to cut down on waste – both financially and physically. With that, I wanted to share some items I’ve owned for years that have MORE than paid for themselves. Paying for quality is worth it when you’re going to wear something over and over again!
Barbour Jacket
I have owned my Barbour jacket for 8 years! It needs to be sent in for some TLC, but I love how worn it it has become. I reach for it again and again and it goes with so many outfits. The exact style (Women’s International) isn’t sold anymore but I love this and this one as well.
Black Frye Boots
Classic black boots will never go out of style. I bought these Frye boots 10 years ago and I have worn them SO much. They took a while to break in but I’ve traveled in them and they are so comfortable now. They look great with jeans, leggings, dresses – you name it!
North Face Jacket
If you live somewhere cold you need a heavy duty jacket. A short jacket just won’t cut it if you’re spending any time outside! I realized I’ve never shared a post with it (it’s not the most glamorous item?) but I do wear it all the time.
I’ve realized that I find myself reaching for the same things over and over and over again – so it’s worth investing in good items. If you’re going to wear it for 10 years the cost is worth it! So if you find something you love that can see yourself wearing for a decade, it really is ok to make the plunge.
