It’s now almost March and the “fun” of making resolutions or goals has definitely worn off! I shared my plans for 2020 in this post and I wanted to do a quick check-in today and update on some newer plans.
So far this year we have had a lot of great time with family and friends – mostly because we have been back in Minnesota all month. We’ve also planned a ton of fun things for when we are back in Lexington in March and April. We have friends visiting us and we’ve got date nights and girls nights (and my husband has hockey) already scheduled – with babysitters lined up!
We have also enjoyed all the indoor fun that the Twin Cities have to offer with baby girl. Lexington is amazing but it doesn’t have much to do for a toddler in the winter. MN has SO MUCH that we’ve had a ton of fun during the daytime. We hit the Mall of America, Galleria in Edina, or one of the many fantastic Targets to get out and explore. (The Targets here are SO MUCH BETTER than anywhere else) Plus everyone loves to be outside in the winter here so we just walk – even if it’s cold. I never get to walk alone in Lexington – it’s rare that our schedules work like that – so getting the chance to walk ALONE is a treat.
I also made a goal to bike on our Peloton twice a week, and I’ve stuck with that this month. It’s much easier when we have my parents around all the time if she wakes up from a nap! I want to get to 100 rides by May and I only have 23 left to go. Yay!
We haven’t made much progress on the home front – more to come on that soon – but that’s on the horizon. I also hope to entertain more once we get into spring and summer and into a routine again (post-travel).
This past month has been amazing and it’s weird to be back in our quiet house. I can’t wait for the next few months but I’m trying to soak up the calm when I can.
