Agolde Shorts Try-On & Review

Hey friends! Happy Friday! It might not seem like a normal Friday but it is – so celebrate!

Honestly Friday isn’t really a special day for us because my husband’s schedule is any day/time and I’m at home. So I know how you feel 🙂

Ok back to today’s post – after years of debating I FINALLY made the plunge and bought these denim shorts. I have seen them on COUNTLESS bloggers and they look so flattering. Two years ago I was pregnant, last year I was postpartum – so this is the right year to buy!

They are pricey so I want to provide a full review and some outfit ideas. I haven’t ever found jean shorts I like and I wanted a wardrobe workhorse for the summer.

Fit & Sizing

I ordered my normal size and a size up. The reviews were mixed about the shorts being true to size, bigger, or smaller. I’ve recently read (after purchasing!) that the sizing is different from years past so you should size up. I could have kept my normal size but it was a bit tight and just not as comfortable. I want these to be everyday shorts so I didn’t want to rely on them stretching out. Since I went up a size they are definitely more “relaxed” – which I want for everyday wearing.

The best part about these shorts is that the leg openings are wide. No clinging to your thighs!!! Winning! They are *super* flattering because they flare a tiny bit. Additionally they are longer if you are tall like me. Most shorts aren’t long enough (even longer inseam ones) to make me feel comfortable.

Also a note – they are a button fly, which is a negative for me. It’s just so annoying to put on and off. And if you have any dexterity concerns, these shorts will be tricky.

Outfit Ideas

Are they worth almost $130? We’ll see. They are truly the most flattering denim shorts I’ve *ever* tried. Plus if I wear them as often as I hope then the cost will be worth it! I have bought a ton of cheaper pairs that claimed to be “dupes” of these – and let’s just say they aren’t. These shorts are beyond flattering and versatile.

I’m sure you will be seeing them a lot as the temperatures warm up – both here and on Instagram. Let me know if you have any questions and if you enjoy try-on posts like this.

Have a great weekend!
