Haha. Did you think it would be something else!? Lol. *EVERY* person we’ve said “we have an announcement” thinks we’re pregnant.
It has been a whirlwind few months to say the least. It has been made a bit more stressful with everything going on in the world but we started this process much earlier in the year. We met with our realtor in January and listed our house a month ago, so it’s been under wraps for a while. It’s been hard to not mention it on here or on Instagram!
When we were in Minnesota in February we found a place to live and my husband signed a job offer. It was a fantastic month and we’re so excited to be living by family again. Not having family around when raising a baby is really hard. I can’t wait to be 5 minutes from my parents and 20 minutes from my in-laws. Family support is *everything*!
I do have to say that leaving Lexington is very bittersweet. If our family was willing to move, and the winters were colder, we would stay. We love it that much. We love the size, the culture, and the community feeling. It’s such an amazing place – with lots of young families! – and we will really miss it here. Oh and the restaurant scene is awesome! Going to miss Carson’s, the Lexingtonian Salad at Malone’s, and many more places.
Get ready for more home decor posts this summer because I’m going to be decorating our new house. Wish us luck!
As an aside, I want everyone reading this to know we have followed *all* state and local orders when doing this move. It’s required for my husband’s job so it’s not random timing – it’s technically essential travel under local orders. We’ve taken all precautions we could and we are taking this very seriously. I’ve received some comments in person that we’re insane for moving now – and honestly the timing is out of our control and definitely couldn’t have ever predicted this for 2020.
