Lexington Home Tour

It has been two months since we sold our house so I wanted to do a home tour!

Our real estate agent had *amazing* photographs taken that are WAY better than any I’ve ever snapped. Funny how professionals do that. We loved living here and have been so sad to leave – so I’ve listed some of our favorite elements of this house at the bottom if you’re curious 🙂

Main Floor

Our entry way is two stories which makes it light and bright. It’s perfect for a table in the front hall – and there’s even space for a christmas tree in the front window! We also have a powder bath which is life changing to have a public bathroom this accessible.

Our living room, dining room and kitchen are all open. It was fantastic for entertaining and easy to keep track of a little toddler when cooking. We also have a back deck that’s big enough for chairs and a grill and looks out over the school behind us. It has some fantastic sunsets! Plus we loved the privacy of not having neighbors behind us.

This fiddle leaf fig is from Pemberton’s and has grown SO MUCH in three years! We got all our house plans there and they’ve all done so well.

Upstairs

Upstairs we have three bedrooms and two bathrooms. And our laundry room – having laundry by the bedrooms is amazing. Our current place has laundry in the basement and I definitely miss this feature of our house. It made it so easy to do a load of laundry whenever.

All the bedrooms are good sizes and perfect for what we needed. We used to have our desk in the guest bedroom but moved it to make room for our Peloton bike (not in the photos). But the master is super big and even with the desk there’s tons of room.

We did this folding table and wallpaper as a DIY at well. A weekend project that made *such* a difference visually and functionally.

Things we miss….

The gorgeous nightly sunsets. They are amazing each night and so different during different seasons.

How it was our first home together. We had an apartment in St Louis that we liked (at the time), but buying your own house together is something special. We made so many memories here – like having our daughter!

Our MASSIVE master closet! We have more storage in this house overall (hello basement!) but our master closet is probably 1/4 of the size of this closet. So that’s meant some adjusting.

Well there you have it – our 3 bed, 2.5 bath, 1800 square foot first home. It was perfect for our lives as a couple and a young family – and we miss it! Funny how a place can make such an imprint in your memory. When we are back in Lexington I’m definitely going to drive by 🙂
