Hi guys – dropping in today to share some recent purchases for our new house! I thought I would only have 5 things but let’s be real…that’s not going to happen. Instead I’m sharing just a bunch of things I’ve recently bought!
A new vacuum because ours broke the week before we moved. I LOVE LOVE our Dyson for our hardwood floors. But we need a bigger vacuum for our thick carpet. I ordered this right when we moved and have been loving it so far!
For the kitchen – a wooden stand, candle and dish soap dispenser. The soap dispenser is practical but cute and I don’t mind having it on my counter all the time. Oh and I got the biggest size of this candle! I love the size!
We had to buy new window treatments because we sold our curtains with our house. So I got these curtains in sour cream for our room and these in light pink for our daughter’s room. They are blackout but we are extra and have blackout roller shades underneath (especially since my husband works nights!). I love the texture of our curtains – they make the room so cozy and luxe.
I finally picked a new rug for our living room and I LOVE it. It is from Wayfair and in the 8×10 size. It’s super neutral (we got grey) and very understated – which is exactly what I wanted.
Finally we ordered a new sectional for our basement – yay! We picked the Pottery Barn comfort sofa in this configuration. This is definitely the biggest purchase we will make for this house and I can’t wait to get it. It should get delivered sometime this month! We’ve been sitting on a mattress to watch TV (so glam…) so I’m excited to have real furniture.
Moving has reminded me that I don’t want more stuff just to have it. I want pieces that serve a purpose and fit seamlessly into our house. All the above are pieces we will use but they don’t add any clutter or junk to the house. If you’ve moved recently you know what I mean!
