Hey friends!
It’s the time of year for lots of entertaining – and granted, it probably looks different this year. However you are choosing to get together, I hope you’re safe and healthy. So that being said, I wanted to share a few things that pull together any event. Maybe you’re just entertaining your parents, or just having dinner at home, but it’s fun to have elements to make the season more special.
Also, one of my most popular post is this fall entertaining post if you want to go down memory lane!
An Easy Dip
When we have an event coming up, I head to Costco and snag their spinach artichoke dip. Add some pita chips and you have an amazing appetizer!
Sparkling Water
Having a non-alcoholic option is key for any social gathering. Whether you have people who are pregnant or don’t drink, remove potentially awkward moments by having some San Pellegrino on hand.
Cute Cocktail Napkins
Nothing screams fall or winter like fun napkins! Does this make me seem old? Maybe but they’re so fun! I love Caspari for different occasions – like this, this and this.
Flameless Candles
I love real candles but with a toddler around I’ve swapped virtually all of them to flameless (aka fake!) candles. These from Amazon are affordable and come in three heights. You can also get a *million* varieties from Pottery Barn! Ambiance makes every event amazing – especially when it gets dark so early. (Hello 4 PM sunset)
Make A Cozy Recipe
Full disclosure – we don’t venture from our traditional menu for Thanksgiving or Christmas. But there are SO many recipes that look amazing! Like this mashed potatoes, these sides (that look super easy!), this squash recipe and these brussel sprouts. Also this is the best turkey recipe – I made it last year and it was so so good.
Decor Inspiration
This year I’m feeling lots of white and sparkle for decor…and I wanted to share some photos that inspire me below. We have a lot of browns in our house so I think whites will make it brighter and lighter in here!
I hope you find some inspiration above for whatever your holiday season looks like! No matter how small your group I hope you have an enjoyable few weeks. I’ve had super quiet holidays and they can be the most special. So no matter what your holiday looks like – I hope you enjoy it!
