As we look into 2022 I feel like there’s going to be a lot of home content.
When we bought our house we knew we would be making updates. So far we’ve changed out window treatments, painted, swapped light fixtures, and replaced the upstairs carpet. We want to do cosmetic updates to the kitchen and redo our guest bathroom (kids bath!) upstairs this year.
Today I want to share some inspiration for the bathroom update.
We won’t be updating the layout – but we will be updating everything else 🙂 New vanity, counters, fixtures, lights, tile and cabinets. Oh and paint 🙂
Since this is both a kid’s bathroom AND a guest bathroom I want to keep it neutral with lots of storage. But I do want to inject some color into our neutral upstairs…I’m thinking very light, spa-blue for the cabinetry with white countertops. I love chrome fixtures and they’re timeless in my book. Here are some images I love….
As you can see – I’m thinking mainly neutrals with some spa-like colors of either blue or light green. Color, me, I KNOW! But I think now that we have white walls so many places it is fun to add color back. Maybe I’ll stick with a more neutral cabinetry and then inject color with the towels and shower tile…lots to consider. I think everything above is timeless because I definitely don’t want something trendy.
One thing I do know I want is a skirted toilet – hello easy cleaning! If you don’t know what I mean, you can see more details here 🙂
