I’ve had two kids for a year! HOW!
Today I wanted to share some things that we’ve used with both kids for the entire year. It’s quite a random list but I love these sorts of posts so here we go.
Double BOB Stroller
This double BOB stroller is the *best* stroller for walking! I am SO SO glad we got it. We use it for every neighborhood walk or any time we are going to be pushing the kids for a long time – think the zoo or an Airshow. It pushes like a dream and is so smooth.
The downside is that it’s bulky. I cannot easily collapse it or get it into the car. And it’s also pricey so if you don’t walk a lot, it’s probably not worth it.
Hatch Sound Machines
I’ve tried other sound machines for the kids but I keep going back to our trusty Hatch machines. I love that I can control them with my phone and that they get pretty loud. Each kid has one in their room! We had to replace one because my daughter broke the cord, but besides that they have been very reliable.
Baby Bjorn Bouncer Seat
This seat has been a Godsend during the newborn phase. Both my kids loved it and it was such a perfect place to put them. I would put them in there when showering, cooking, or just to have some times without a kid in my arms! For some reason this simple seat just works for everyone I know who has it. It’s expensive but it’s washable, folds completely, and can be used for months and months.
Lovevery Block Set & Play Gym
Both my kids play with the blocks and play mat daily! I love that the blocks are solid wood and such a great quality. We also love that the Play Gym can become a tent – crawling through the sides is a major hit around here for both my 3 year old and 1 year old. Both Play Gym and Block Set would make great registry items if you are looking for some essential toys!
Books!
We love to read around here. Both kids love to page through books and love being read to. Here are some of our favorites:
