By a weird twist of scheduling fate we have a LOT of time at home this month! My husband only works 4 shifts all month so we are going to use the opportunity to burn through some home projects. Some are big, some are little, but everything will make an impact. Here’s my list….
Hem *all* curtains – I’m half done with hemming all the curtains we have around the house. It’s slow going but has to get done! Only 6 more curtains to go…
Wash windows – I got this Windex spray to try.
Hang large frames in hallway – I got these frames from IKEA and can’t wait to get the prints I ordered from Printique!
Hang Diplomas in Guest Bedroom – We have so many diplomas and now that we are done painting the guest bedroom it’s time to decorate.
Recaulk Toilets – This is 10000% random but I think it will make a big impact. The caulk on our toilets is peeling or half gone, so I want to remove it completely and redo so it looks clean and fresh.
Swap Hallway Light – I need to order a new light for our hallway! Then we need to replace it.
Start powder bath refresh – We are going to update the powder bath with board & batten (like this!), a new mirror, new countertop, and new cabinet doors. I have started ordering everything and when we have it all in hand we will start working.
Get quote from painters – We need to have all the trim and doors repainted in our house. Every room has a different color and condition of trim – it’s so bad! I want to get a quote to see if this is something we hire out, or something we do ourselves if it’s too pricey.
Vent Cleaning – I have meant to have our vents cleaned for months and need to schedule it!
Fence Quote – We have had the hardest time getting quotes to replace our fence. We need to get some in writing! (I cannot tell you how many companies either don’t show up for quotes or never send us a quote or send us a quote with no details so we don’t know what it includes…and then disappear or never respond)
Wish us luck! Each task we accomplish makes the house feel more like home. The gratification of each project is truly addicting and I’m lucky to have a super detailed and picky husband who is AMAZING at projects. I am excited to get these things done!
