10 Things – 2/7/2024

Hello friends! It’s February! We have some fun things planned this month so wanted to stop in with ten random things on my radar recently.

One – I recently had a styling session at Nordstrom where I tried on a ton of jeans. I left with 3 pairs that I have worn so so much! I got this pair, this pair, and this pair. The wide leg MOTHER jeans are definitely my most-worn so far. They are comfortable, flattering, and go with so much.

Two – We had the second rainiest January ever so it has been so amazing to have sunshine and 60s lately. I love spending time outside!

Three – I think I’m going to go super simple for Valentine’s at school this year and do applesauce pouches for my son’s class and pencils for my daughter’s! I’m not even going to write names or do cute tags…maybe a ribbon? We’ll see!

Four – We are settling back into life as a family of 4 here which is fantastic. The only adjustment I’ve felt is the lack of alone time. I went from having TOO MUCH alone time (every evening, naptime, etc) to no alone time so my reading and needlepointing has basically stopped. Trying to figure out a way to get back to some of my quiet habits – I know this is a weird thing to mention but just trying to figure out new routines again.

Five – Similar to the above, in January I was really good at getting off my phone by 8 pm. It made going to bed so much easier. Trying to get back to that good habit!

Six – I’ve had Rent the Runway active for the last few months and I do love it but I think I’m going to pause for the next few months because I love the clothes I have for this time of year! It’s fun to add new clothes to my closet so I might activate again for summer or another time where I want different clothes.

Seven – I’ve read a lot of books so far this year and I highly recommend The Canceling of the American Mind. A full list of books I’ve read is coming soon!

Eight – Made this beef stew last week and it was so so so good. I’m trying to do one new recipe a week this year.

Nine – Looking at sunhats again for the pool and summer and loving this one. What do we think?

Ten – We finally got around to painting and updating our upstairs bathrooms. It’s amazing what a coat of fresh paint can do! I will share all the updates once they’re finished.

Have a great week!
