It has been a whirlwind month. I can’t believe it’s May tomorrow! We have had two fun trips this month and a ton of other fun social events. I shared a Mother’s Day post last week so today I wanted to do a chatty post.
One – We went to Fredericksburg again, this time as a whole family. The flowers above are from their main square. I’m working on a post with our entire trip!
Two – We also did a kid-free trip to Vail. It was AMAZING! I’m also going to be sharing more about that, so keep checking back.
Three – My newest obsession is cleaning my stairs with my Bissell Little Green Machine. It’s almost addicting to see the dirty water come out. I try to do it monthly……yikes our carpet gets dirty!
Four – I am excited for summer but also a bit worried about how chaotic it might be. We have a lot of fun plans already but it is making me tired just looking at our schedule. It doesn’t help that my husband works a lot more than usual. So I think I’m just going to say no to any big, new things and stick with what is already scheduled.
Five – I’m going to be a hosting a welcome party for new spouses in my husband’s residency program and I’m excited to create community and foster in-person friendships! If you are in a position to throw a party or make people feel welcomed, do it!
Six – I reactivated my Rent The Runway on a whim and am loving the pieces I got this time. Should I do another review? Maybe I will on Instagram!
Seven – Looking for a new read and don’t know where to turn? Just go wander the stacks at the library. Sounds so silly but sometimes it is WAY easier than searching online. Just grabbed 3 new books to try. Also using the library saves us so much money. I talked to an acquaintance who complained about buying 5 books a week for their kids – hello library!
Eight – I need more dinner ideas. Send them to me!!!
Nine – My newest obsession is the “Bliss Bin” and “Bliss Bag” from Maple and Lark. I’m waiting for them to restock and then I plan on getting a few sizes for school organization. We are doing a University Model school next year and do 2 days of homeschool a week so I need to get some simple and effective organization. I’ve already started laminating phonics flashcards. Who am I?!
Ten – The pool opens this weekend! I’m excited for swim season but bittersweet thinking about how quickly this year is flying by……
