As I go through my closet (and it happens a lot since we’ve been traveling!) I’ve noticed how many pieces of clothing are from Target. I’m even wearing a t-shirt from Target as I type this! (It’s this one and not planned!) So in the spirit of my closet I wanted to share some Target spring clothing!
There are so many great pieces at Target right now. They are really on-trend and super affordable. Plus if you download their Cartwheel app you can get discounts frequently! So here are a bunch of the clothes I tried on and my thoughts on each piece.
Gingham Top, Victoria Beckham for Target – $30
Looking at these photos again shows how cute this top is! It’s a super cute gingham 3/4 sleeve top with peplum hem. It hits at the hip on me and I was wearing a small. I would have bought it if there was a medium because the small was a bit too tight (hard to raise my arms). It would be super cute with jeans or shorts when it gets warmer! One note – the fabric is pretty thick so it might be hard to wear when it gets super hot outside. Recommend!
Who What Wear Flutter Sleeve Top – $27.99
I really wanted to love this top but there was SO much fabric under the sleeves! This is the most insane ruffle sleeve I’ve ever tried on. The shirt was also a bit sheer so it was a pass for me, but if you want an affordable ruffle sleeve-top this could work for you! I also can’t find this online – I don’t know if it’s too new or too old? – but here is a similar shirt that’s only $23.
Blue Eyelet Top – $22.99
If only they had a medium! UGH! This tank top was so light and so flattering. Unfortunately my store only had XS, then L & XL. So I tried on a L and it was definitely too big. This would be super cute with jeans or a denim skirt – even white denim! It was lightweight and I love the detailing. I’m super annoyed I also couldn’t find this online – I know Target puts things in store before they land online but that makes online shopping very frustrating! I even searched by the barcode number and can’t find it 🙁
Embroidered Off the Shoulder Dress – $34.99
This dress has super cute embroidered sleeves – right on trend for this season! I loved the stripes and belt. It also had pockets!! I didn’t love the length on me – it was almost too long, which is crazy because I’m pretty tall! (5’8″) The dress wasn’t the most flattering so I didn’t buy it, but it’s a super cute option for summer. The fabric was super light but not sheer – perfect for warmer temps.
Lace Off the Shoulder Dress – $34.99
I really wanted to love this dress! The fun lace detailing is so cute and I loved how it was thick. It’s a tad bit see thru (I think it’s impossible not to be in a white dress) but the fabric is really substantial. This definitely is more than just a swim coverup or something! I think it would look cute with a belt or jean jacket! I honestly have a hard time choosing to wear white (I gravitate towards darker colors) but if you want a cute white dress this could work! Again I couldn’t find it online (so annoying!) but I will add the link if I can later!
Chambray Dress – $29.99
This dress is a super basic off the shoulder chambray. I didn’t love it enough to buy it – it felt kinda boxy? – but if you’re looking for a chambray this would fit the bill. It was comfy to wear and fairly thick! I think sometimes dresses that are boxy aren’t the most flattering on me, but if you want that style this was a great find.
Black Eyelet Bell Sleeve Dress – $34.99
This is my favorite item I tried on!!! I love this black dress!! I wanted to take it home with me but it was too short (maybe you can tell?). It was over half-way up my thigh and that’s too short for me to be comfortable. There is a shirt version but there were only XLs in the store so I will be grabbing it online! It’s also a dupe for this $55 shirt, in case you were curious. It comes in black and white and will be so cute for everything you have to attend this summer!
Moral of the story – head to Target if you’re looking for some great pieces! And if you download Cartwheel you can get deals fairly frequently. Happy shopping!
