My husband and I have never been a couple that plans regular date nights or weekly nights out. I really love cooking and sometimes eating and home and hanging out is all we want! But now that my husband has become busier we’re trying to make his time off more special. Plus it gives us a fun excuse to try places around Lexington – I always love finding great places!
Obviously we don’t go out to eat or do a fun activity everyday my husband is off – but it does give us a reason to make that time where we’re both off more memorable. His non-traditional schedule and my traditional schedule can conflict, so oftentimes one of us is at home when the other is working.
Two weekends ago we drove out to the Red River Gorge and hiked because he had a weekend day off. Sure it was 45 minutes each way just to hike, but it was more fun than just walking around the neighborhood. This weekend my husband didn’t get a day off – UGH – so instead we got lunch on Friday for a mini date. Just gotta find the time when you can!
In the spirit of date day/nights I wanted to share this denim dress! I bought it in June but then it sold out, so I didn’t want to talk about it when you couldn’t buy it anymore. I hope it would get restocked and I did see it in store this weekend, but I can’t find it online! Sorry….if you have a local H&M you could definitely look for it. The cut is so flattering and it’s also super soft!
