I don’t know about you, but I love sweatshirts. Pullovers, half-zips – I seriously have a problem! They’re so comfy and perfect for these cooler temps. But what if I told you that you could wear something that feels like a sweatshirt but is WAY cuter? Enter this tie sweatshirt!

I tried a bunch of tie-sleeve shirts and sweatshirts from Nordstrom and this one was my favorite. The fabric is thick and cozy but not too bulky. I love the length – it’s definitely long enough to wear with leggings! It doesn’t fit too tight and is very flattering for something oversized by nature. I could wear this to work with my favorite Old Navy pants or jeans for the weekend (like here!).
I would definitely size down if you want it to be more fitted – for reference I’m wearing a small here which is perfect for a bit of an oversized look. Don’t blame me if you see if all over Instagram the next few months – it’s so comfy and easy to put on! It might become a weekend standby because it’s just that good.
For this look I paired it with my favorite jeans and a super old pair of Target booties. I’ve definitely become a Madewell denim convert after buying this pair! I still love my Paige jeans but I think they’ve been trumped by my Madewell pair. I’m definitely going to be getting more of them as needed! Pro tip: save your old pairs of jeans (that you don’t want anymore) and bring them to Madewell to get $25 off a denim purchase!
The boots were an impulse purchase a few years ago when I saw them on clearance. I got them for $19 and have worn them into the ground! If you don’t own a pair of black booties you should get them – they are such a versatile item to have in your fall and winter wardrobe.
