march recap

Another month has FLOWN by – does anyone else feel like this year has gone at rocket speed? Well March was a fun month and I wanted to share a quick recap in case you missed any posts!

I had a lot of fun outfits in March and hope you enjoyed them too. Sometimes I like my outfits, but some months I LOVE them – and March was a hit! I think my favorite look is the suede jacket & black dress. But I’ve included links to all the posts I shared below each picture!

Stripes for Spring (novel I know!)

For the non-outfit posts, I talked about vacations we’ve taken in the past year and life with a medical resident. I also talked about my top 5 items on our wedding registry, and I’m actually drinking a smoothie from my blender right now! (So I really do use it all the time)

I had another “challenge” this March, and it involved not eating out during the week. And the only time I broke it was last night – my birthday dinner! So I’m not sad about that and still consider it a win. It was actually harder to say no to work lunches than it was to eat dinner at home. My coworkers go out to grab lunch everyday, and it was hard to say no to every delicious-sounding lunch spot. (More challenges in September & November if you’re curious!)

My husband was home for dinner everyday this month, and that made meal planning WAY harder than it normally is. Usually I just make eggs or a super basic stir fry when I’m home alone, but that’s boring night after night! I did have a few nights of “fend for yourself”, but we did a lot more cooking this month than normal.

Also I’ve been waking up early to workout at least once a week this month (working up to twice a week!). Working out in the morning is SUCH a game changer! I don’t have to push things off until the end of the day and then never do them – I can start my day with a workout. I’ll be sharing a post with tips sometime in the next few months if I can keep it up 🙂

Around Lexington we finally made it to Marikka’s – which is such a fun spot! We will definitely be there to watch more sporting events and hang with friends. We also spent a fun evening at Bourbon on Rye, which has the best atmosphere.

So there you have it – another month of 2018 has come and gone! Hope your March was as good as mine, and here’s to April! Fingers crossed that it STOPS raining in KY!
