spring is here?

So the calendar says that it’s spring – but it snowed over the weekend and it might snow again on Easter. What is going on?!

It’s been so hard to get dressed lately. I want to wear spring outfits but they’re too cold for the weather – anyone else having this problem? Yesterday it said that it was 50 but it was pretty windy, so not an ideal day to be outside. It’s supposed to be 55 this time of year and I would be SO happy with that!

Ok so today’s outfit is super basic – perfect for a Monday, right? Jean jacket, white top, jeans, and some easy accessories. The only piece that’s new on the blog is my hat, which I picked up on our trip to Asheville. (Wrote a whole post about that trip here!)

Jean Jacket: Madewell // Top: Topshop, similar // Jeans: Madewell 9 Inch // Shoes: Target (so affordable and actually really comfortable for how tall they are! They come in more colors too!) // Purse: Old Navy, this one is similar // Hat: Urban Outfitters // Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

Thought I could take my hat off for some pictures, but it was WAY too windy!

I’ve been on a white shirt kick lately and have had to stop myself from buying more. I love how versatile white tops can be – they work all year long and can be layered, worn on their own, dressed up or dressed down. I’ve shared another white top recently that’s really budget friendly and a closet must-have!

And I’m loving these shoes so much – I’m going to be wearing them to every warm event I’ve got coming up this spring and summer! Keeneland, residency events, a few weddings – you’ll be seeing them over and over again. I’ve eyed this style for a while and am happy I finally joined the bandwagon. They aren’t as bad to walk in as I thought they would be, so that’s a plus! I don’t wear heels with jeans much, but I’m going to have to reconsider that after putting this outfit together. Adding heels makes denim more formal and really can take it from day to night.

I’m hoping to get back into my “routine” of working out in the morning – I was able to once last week, if I can twice this week I’ll be really happy. So here’s to hoping I can get in my morning workouts! They’re a really great way to start the day. But no matter how you start it, I hope you have a great Monday!
