Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend and are ready for another week. We spent yesterday watching the Superbowl with some friends – I hope you had fun watching! (If you care about Football… 🙂 ) I wanted to continue my “Monday Musings” because doing these type of thought round-ups is fun to put together!
I feel like we’re in the depths of winter – the few days of 50s & 60s in St Louis really tricked me into thinking Spring was right around the corner! Turns out February really isn’t that super warm, and March isn’t either. I guess all the cute warmer clothes I’ve been dreaming of will have to wait for a bit.
I wanted to share a few goals I have for myself this week — I feel like writing them down and posting them publicly is a good way to make myself accountable!
- Read for an hour a day
- I have a bookshelf full of books I could read or reread, but I never seem to choose books over TV! I also love my kindle but I forget about it and don’t get new books. This week I’m going to try to change that.
- Drink more water
- I used to drink a ton of water but somehow I’ve fallen off the hydration bandwagon. More water this week!
- Be more positive
- I am super inclined towards negativity (being real over here) and it’s hard for me to be positive sometimes. I’m going to work on pausing when I react to new information and not jumping to negativity immediately.
- Have 1 night without TV
- I’m going to need to check with my husband to see if he’s on board, but we spend most nights with Netflix! It’s hard to not want to get comfy at night, but we could play a game instead and still have a relaxing night.
