In case you didn’t know, Kentucky sports are a BIG DEAL in Lexington.
You will stick out like a sore thumb if you don’t wear UK gear on Saturdays in the fall (no joke!). Everyone seems to have the football and basketball schedules memorized and watches every game. Previously we had no team to cheer for in college sports – and college sports isn’t an obsession in Minnesota. Sure people like the University of Minnesota, but they weren’t as obsessed as ALL Kentucky fans are. It’s a whole other level!
Today I wanted to share a look that I could wear to any game. You’ll find me in UK gear every time we go watch something! We love watching games at Suggins, Marikka’s or Winchell’s – all great local spots with a HEAVILY invested crowd. Be sure to get there early if you even want a chance to get a spot 🙂

Honestly having a team to cheer for is so fun – we will be UK fans for the rest of our lives now. Nothing like having someone you can always watch in March Madness! Combined with this sports obsession is tailgating – which is another type of event.
Shop Local Kentucky is my favorite place for Kentucky gear that isn’t just standard “branded” gear. Their shirts are super comfy – so soft! – and they come out with new designs all the time. Definitely a place to check out if you want UK gear!
Also, in case you’ve been watching my Instagram stories this week, you might have heard that I’m on a serious HUNT for maternity jeans. I just got an order from ASOS and didn’t love anything – so frustrating. I’ve tried Target and am now trying Old Navy. If that doesn’t work I might have to try a pair from Madewell…It’s so hard finding pairs that are actually jeans and not jeggings!
Getting back into the swing of things over here. It’s always hard to come back from vacation and into the real world, but there are lots of fun things on the horizon. We’re rested and ready for an exciting few months – I feel like it’s just going to be baby stuff all the time and I’m SO ok with that! Anyways, I hope you have a fantastic weekend.
