A Cute Outfit for Cold Climates

Happy Monday! This is our last week in Lexington before we head back to Minnesota for Christmas – YAY!

Also it was supposed to snow this weekend for us – but the storm moved south and we got NOTHING. I know I’m in the minority, but I really wanted a good storm! We had no plans – besides my husband working, but whatever – and a snowy weekend at home sounded fantastic. Sidenote – when did we decide to name every snowstorm? It’s getting a bit ridiculous that every weather system now has to have a name….anyone else feel that way?

But we will be heading back to a snowy place on Friday and we’re so excited. From time at the cabin, to Friendsmas, to Christmas – it’s going to be a great two weeks. I also don’t remember the last time my husband spent two weeks together! It was probably at the end of med school before residency started (the good old days). Since then we’ve done 10 day vacations, but never two full weeks spending time together. It’s going to be pretty awesome!

I would classify this outfit as a “cute” cold outfit. AKA you’re going to and from somewhere, might walk outside a bit – but this wouldn’t work for real time outside (like hiking or just going for am extended walk). It also is problematic because none of my jackets zip anymore, so I just snap them and rely heavily on big scarves!

I have to admit that I’m happy to be heading back to some real cold weather. Does that make me insane? Maybe but winter is my JAM! Well I hope you have a great Monday and a great start to the week!
