This week I start my third trimester – AH!
25ish weeks above!
This pregnancy has flown by and I’ve been so lucky that is has been smooth (fingers crossed it stays that way). I feel like the first half really flew by because it was before Christmas and there’s so much focus on Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.
Working out has definitely gotten harder – my stomach is bigger and I just don’t have the same stamina. I get tired much easier and some days I just don’t feel like it. I am trusting my body and not forcing it! I have loved adding prenatal yoga into my routine – I do it probably twice a week on my Peloton app.
26 weeks!
Surprisingly I am not very hungry, instead I feel like my space to eat is getting smaller! Some days I’m not really hungry at all. Other days I’m super hungry – just trusting my gut (lol) and eating when I’m hungry.
I’ve been buying baby gear and will be sharing all of that soon. I am *really* trying to keep it reasonable because I don’t want stuff we won’t use! We had so many clothes (hand me downs, luckily) that our daughter never even got to wear before she was too big. So this time I don’t want extras – I want what we need and use. And since I’m buying it I’m trying to be even more slow with my shopping.
I’m so excited to add another baby to the family. I expected to be nervous about transitioning to two kids, and maybe I will be closer to my due date. But I’m honestly so excited for newborn snuggles and to add to our family! Last time I was so nervous about labor and not much about life after, but the life change is MUCH more drastic than labor! I know it will be a big change but I’m aware of what will happen much more than last time. I remember newborn life and I’m going to hold myself to a much lower standard! I just want to savor those newborn days that seem long but go by SO quickly.
I was looking through my journal and noticed I was seeing friends 3 weeks postpartum and I don’t think that will happen this time (even if Covid wasn’t a thing). I just want to take it slow and enjoy those early days. I’m planning on putting more toys upstairs (it’s just bedrooms) so my toddler can roam around and play while we are up there.
I am trying to enjoy these next few months as a family of three before our life changes drastically! It’s going to be a good few months of warmer weather, sunshine (more than January lol), and celebrations. I am excited to enjoy these last few months but can’t wait to add another kiddo to the mix!
