Happy March! I’m feeling so happy and optimistic as the days are warmer, longer, and sunny. I feel like we’ve come SO FAR from a year ago and the days ahead are looking up. So in that happy spirit I want to share a few random things!
- I started a new hobby – needlepoint!
I need something to do at night instead of mindlessly scrolling on my phone. So I went to a local needlepoint store – The Picket Fence – to snag some canvases and thread. They were SO helpful for a beginner like me! I have two Christmas ornaments I’m starting – one for each kiddo.

2. I’m obsessed with fresh flowers
The simple things are always the best. Adding a vase of fresh flowers to my dining table brings me so much joy every time I look at it. I’ve been getting flowers virtually every time I go to the store!
3. We’re spending so much time outside
The weather improved so much – it’s been in the 40s and 50s. We go to the park almost every day and I have been able to go for walks again. It’s been months of ice and snow that just seemed risky to walk when pregnant. Now the roads and sidewalks are dry and being outside in the sunshine just makes me *so* happy.
Plus getting the kiddo outside makes her super tired at naptime and bedtime – win win! She is obsessed with her trike that we push to the park or just around our neighborhood. (We found it for super cheap on Facebook marketplace) Also rain boots are essential for this weather. I love my Hunter boots and got matching ones for my mini 🙂
4. I found the cutest everyday dress
How perfect is this blue dress for everyday? It’s perfect with a jean jacket or utility jacket for the current temperatures. It will be perfect in the summer too! Sure it’s not the most convenient for future nursing but I don’t care if I’m at home.
5. Birthday prep is in full swing!
I turn 30 at the end of this month and birthday prep is in happening. I’ve scheduled everything I want to do on my birthday – massage, getting my hair blown out – and have my meals planned out. And I found a cute dress! Pray it doesn’t snow haha.
Since our big 30th birthday trip plans aren’t happening I’m going ALL OUT where I can. I am planning on pretty flowers (pink, white!), cute plates for ice cream cake, and fun napkins like this. I’m also thinking about ordering custom plastic cups because WHY NOT!
