I had hoped to do this update in the last few months, but it didn’t happen – so today I wanted to share my inspiration for our primary bath update!
We have a very small bathroom. Sink, toilet, and tub shower. It has been updated but the vanity just isn’t my style – brown granite (no thanks). The walls are also brown and will be painted my favorite Du Jour white!
I want something classic and clean for the bathroom. White vanity with a white countertop. Silver fixtures. Our house is from the 70s but leans traditional so I’m embracing the traditional vibes.
I’m also not sure how I want to mix metals so I’ve been referencing this post! I know I want classic fixtures but maybe a gold mirror?
It’s hard to see in the mockup above but I love the idea of doing a fun mirror to add some dimension. I also included some blue grasscloth wallpaper in this mockup because I love the idea of doing wallpaper in this bathroom. BUT we have super textured walls so I’m not sure it’s possible. We’ll see! I also don’t know if my husband would be on board 🙂 It might be too much for a small space, but also, all white is a bit bland.
I also included towels because I would love to get new ones – and these scallop ones are so fun! Our guest towels are really wearing out so I think we will get new towels for ourselves and move our current towels into the guest bathroom. They are dark grey which I liked when I bought them but now I want white!
We will see what we actually purchase when we have time for this update in a few months. I will be sure to share what we end up doing. Please let me know if you have any sources or pieces you love for a traditional (but affordable!) bathroom update.
