Lately I’ve been getting sucked into the ease of online shopping and buying things too quickly. Then I have to return them and it’s just a waste of time (and shipping resources!).
A recent in store purchase – loving these sneakers!
So I decided that for the month of June I’m going to shop in person only.
My one exception is grocery shopping – I’m not going to give up my online ordering with grocery pickup. That’s such a key part of my routine and it makes my life much easier! But anything from Amazon, etc – that is going to be something I buy in store.
Making a physical list – and waiting to shop – really helps with impulse purchasing. There’s no need to endlessly scroll new arrivals if I can’t buy anything online! Plus the barrier to shopping is so much higher with two kids in tow. I do love to wander around the mall to kill time, but I don’t do that as much as I shop online. I’m sure you all know what I mean! Half the time the Amazon/FedEx/UPS truck pulls up and I can’t even remember what I ordered, which is SO BAD.
Wish me luck as I embark on this challenge. I know it sounds silly but I think it will help with my budget and slow me down on things I don’t really need!
I will be sure to report what’s happening on my Instagram (@helen.loves) and here as well. Check back at the end of the month for a full review of how this went 🙂
