I don’t know about you, but our calendar is already filling up with festive events! We have at least 2 Christmas parties and tons of other holiday events with friends and family.
I know our events will be varying levels of formality so I wanted to share 2 looks – one more formal, and one more casual! The first look is my new Ruffle Dress I picked up for Keeneland (more about dressing for Keeneland here!) and the second is a fun tie-sleeve top and my fav jeans. Dressy

A holiday party is great time to break out a fun new dress! This one from Ann Taylor will be perfect for Christmas festivities – hello perfect color. I love that it’s a sweater fabric so it lays well and isn’t super thin. It’s definitely not a cheap option but I did snag it for 50% off. Ann Taylor runs sales super frequently so I would wait til it goes on sale. Also, this dress is the perfect length – short but not too short. You definitely don’t want something short when you’re wearing heels or going to a work party! No way. This is the perfect length without being matronly.
Here I paired it with some of my favorite winter heels – these wedges. They’re a few years old but are super timeless. Also the wedge makes them easy to walk in! The heel is pretty high so they definitely aren’t “comfort” shoes, but they are perfect for parties or dinners. I’m also wearing a J. Crew necklace that will never go out of style. It makes any outfit sparkly and fun!

Maybe you have some cocktail parties or dinners and want to wear something fun but not over the top. Enter this outfit! Take a cute black top with a tie detail, your favorite jeans, fun accessories, and you’re good to go! I love how I was able to pair the same necklace, shoes, and purse in this more casual look – and they still fit.
