I cannot believe that I have had two kids for two years! Life with a 4 and 2 year old is so much different than a year ago, but it’s truly just amazing all the time. I know some people love to complain about having kids, and there are definitely long days, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. They are both SO FUN right now and I love spending time with them!
I’ve shared a lot of gear over the years that we love – from Newborn Favorites to Books to Sleep Training information. I also have a whole favorites page where you can see a ton of favorite baby things. But today I wanted to share the gear that we use *all the time* for both kiddos. These are the items we use practically daily, and items I would immediately replace if they were damaged/destroyed/lost.
Double BOB Stroller
I love walking and my kids do too, so we use our BOB stroller almost everyday. It is SO easy to push. It doesn’t compare to any other stroller I’ve ever tried!!! Yes it’s pricey but our cost per mile has to be so low at this point – we routinely go on 2-3 mile walks. It’s bulky so I wouldn’t recommend it for errands, but I do take it when flying without incident. (It does fit through doors!) Just be prepared for a bit of a workout getting it in and out of your car 🙂
Kitchen Helper
My kids love helping in the kitchen and being able to have them stand safely at the counter is so helpful! They love this stand helper and can both stand in it – yes they are small, but it was such a good purchase and we use it all day, everyday!
Hanna Andersson Clothing
The phrase “you get what you pay for” REALLY rings true with kids clothing. I’ve learned after my 4 years of parenting that investing in high-quality clothes is important because they 1) last longer 2) wash easier 3) don’t fade! I would really recommend the clothes from their website – they frequently have sales – but the Amazon line is very similar in quality and much cheaper.
Hatch Sound Machines
I’m pretty sure I’ve included the Hatch Sound Machines in each baby/kid gear post but we really love them. We use them everyday for naps and bedtime and I could not live without them!
Nanit Camera
We also really love and recommend our Nanit Monitor Cameras. I know some people don’t love wifi cameras, but we do – and the ability for others to view our kids (like my parents, from their own phones, if they are babysitting!) is very helpful. We also did the Insights Plan for the first year for each child which shows when they fall asleep and wake up, which is very helpful for sleep training.
I really really recommend all the items above and think you will get your money’s worth – if you use them. They make my life easier and more enjoyable 🙂
