Babyzen Yo-yo Stroller Review

As my kids have gotten older my stroller needs have really changed! With a newborn and then a toddler and newborn I really loved the Uppababy Vista – and I still recommend that for a great, fully-loaded, stroller. You can read my full review of that here!

But now my kids are older and we are doing different things. I no longer need to put both kids in a stroller or use the newborn car seat. We are more on the go and I need a stroller that can go anywhere! So after months of research I bought the Babyzen Yo-Yo…..and returned it. And then regretted my decision and purchased it again!

**ALSO it is on sale as part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale HERE!!!

Now I’ve had the stroller for 10 months and I LOVE IT! Here are the reasons why I love it and why I recommend it. Keep reading for my full Babyzen Yo-Yo stroller review!

Size and Portability

It is SO COMPACT! The Babyzen Yo-Yo is one of two strollers that can fit in a overhead compartment on a plane – that is how small it folds. It comes with a shoulder strap that is so easy to use when you are carrying it in a collapsed position. It’s so small that it fits between my son’s rear facing car seat and my passenger seat in my car! My husband was shocked when he saw it for the first time.

I bought the Yo-Yo stroller for travel after being annoyed lugging a massive stroller through the airport (alone). My 3 year old can’t walk far enough to manage a big airport so I wanted something that was portable and easy to have with me. It’s so easy to collapse for security and I love that I can bring it on the airplane and not wait for it to be gate checked. It is seriously the easiest to carry around.

Large Basket

Ok the Yo-Yo basket isn’t as big as the Uppababy but it is deceptively large! It’s actually able to hold a ton – WAY more than I anticipated. I can easily carry lunchbox, two water bottles, diaper pouch (4 diapers and box of wipes) and my purse. Honestly it works perfectly for being out and about! It is the ideal stroller for restaurants or tight spaces.

Easy to Push

I tried a few other compact strollers and they all felt flimsy and off balance. This one was the easiest to push and it does super well on tons of surfaces. (Dirt is tough, not going to lie) But it feels way more sturdy than other travel strollers, even compared to the Bugaboo Butterfly – probably it’s closest competitor.

Also my husband was in Germany last summer and saw the stroller constantly – it seemed to do super well on the cobblestones.

Tons of Colors!

This is silly but it comes in tons of colors! I got black but I also love the green and the pink. Maybe if I had a little girl (instead of little boy) I would have gone for pink 🙂

Compatibility and Accessories

Right now we don’t need any of the infant attachments but you can attach an infant car seat into it! So I think we will use that in the future if needed. But they make so many accessories for different ages, lifestyles, and weather conditions. I’ve seen the ride along board and it looks super helpful if you have kids who want to sit and ride.

If you are looking for a compact stroller that you can use everyday, everywhere, and enjoy pushing, I highly highly recommend the Babyzen Yo-Yo. It was worth every penny and I use it multiple days a week – way more than I thought I would. If you travel, or just want a smaller stroller for storage and have a over 6 month old, I suggest you look into it. I hope this review was helpful and let me know if you have any questions!
