Happy Monday! Today I’m taking a break from the moving posts on Mondays (here and here) and just doing a weekend recap. It was busy but fun so I figured I would share what was up!
We started Friday off with the most AMAZING cinnamon buns. They are the best cinnamon rolls/buns I’ve ever had! We went for my birthday and had to go back just to get them again! The first time we went we were amateurs and shared – not this time. Yes I ate a cinnamon roll the size of my face and I’m not ashamed. If you’re in the Twin Cities you MUST stop at Isles Bun and Coffee.
It had been raining all week – you might have noticed on my Instagram stories! – so we walked around Lake of The Isles after we got the cinnamon rolls. I think it has the prettiest houses of any Minneapolis lake! The lakes are a central part of Mpls so it’s super fun to explore them on beautiful days. Blue skies and puffy clouds – a fantastic friday!
Saturday we made this amazing breakfast from Damn Delicious. I saw it on Instagram and knew we had to try it! Bacon + hash browns + eggs = breakfast perfection. Plus I love anything that can be made in one pan and has easy cleanup!
My husband went to the Minnesota Wild game Saturday afternoon and then we went out for our anniversary. We had been planning to go to one of our favorite spots – Bar Lurcat – but the game went into overtime so we had to cancel our reservation and the place was packed. So instead we went to a cute neighborhood spot a few blocks away and had a great time! Cafe Maude was delicious (I’ve been a few times!) – my steak wedge salad was AMAZING. Both places are great if you’re looking for a fun dinner in Minneapolis!
Sunday AM we went to Church and then organized and drove back to St Louis! It’s so crazy how everything is in bloom and GREEN. Spring was barely starting in Minnesota but it’s basically over here. I can see one tree that still has flowers – yay! – so hopefully I didn’t miss everything. Today I’ll be organizing, cleaning, and hopefully running some errands. Have a great Monday!
