So I have a volume obsession. At least with shirts, and I try with my hair! This summer has been the summer of ruffles, peplum – you name it!
I’ll be honest – when I first tried on this top I wasn’t convinced it was cute. I put it in my “going back to Nordstrom” (yay free shipping & returns!) pile. Well I decided to try on all my “no’s” again and my husband said he thought this shirt was the cutest of everything I got…so I decided to keep it. Sometimes you just need a second opinion!
It comes in 4 other colors and I might need to pick up some darker colors for fall and winter. I think it would look really cute with darker denim and boots! Like I mentioned in this post – you have to have the right type of volume. Ruffles that hit at the wrong spot aren’t flattering and can make you look wide! So as much as I love this top I know it might not hit at the right spot for everyone. But you should really check it out – for $42 it’s a great statement top!
