I’ve fallen back into a firm makeup routine with being back in the office, but I wanted to share some variations to that routine since it’s summer! (I shared it here) Summer is a time to freshen up your makeup, and even though it’s coming to a close I thought I would share my picks. So here are my summer beauty favorites, in no particular order!
bronzer
I love this Physician’s Formula bronze booster. I am a compulsive sunscreen wearer so my face doesn’t get very tan in the summer! So to combat that paleness I add a swipe of bronze around the outside of my face and down my nose. Plus it has the right amount of shimmer without being “too much.” This just gives me a bit of a glow and makes my face more summer-appropriate!
blush
I got this Tarte blush in my birthday gift from Sephora (go sign up for their Insider program!) but didn’t use it right away. Now I’m addicted! I love the color and it really lasts all day. Pro tip – it’s super pigmented, so a little bit goes a long way.
highlighter
I have a few of the Nars Multiple sticks, and the Copacabana color is my go-to highlighter! I swipe some on the high points of my cheeks on days I just throw on foundation. I definitely don’t look like a beauty blogger (with insanely strobed cheeks), I’m just trying to add a bit of shimmer. This is great because it’s easy to apply and stays all day!
setting spray
Ok I’ll admit it, setting sprays seemed like a gimmick to me in the past. But seriously they are a GAME CHANGER for warm temps. You need to get this spray from Urban Decay if you want your makeup to last in these temps! I spray it once on my face and I can definitely see a difference when I don’t use it. This is a summer must!
mascara
Ok mascara is always an essential, but I just tried this new L’Oreal Lash Paradise is amazing! I was running out of my normal Maybelline (which I still love and recommend!) and decided to try this after hearing so many rave reviews. Plus who doesn’t love a good drugstore find?
