As much as I love my dark colors – hello closet full of black, grey, navy and denim! – sometimes it’s fun to wear brighter colors! And a spring outfit calls for pinks, blues, and floral!
So I’m going to try to resist my usual dark colors and patternless clothing to bring you some spring outfit inspiration today 🙂

Floral, lighter colors, other prints – all areas that are a bit out of my clothing comfort zone! But I’m trying to branch out and I might even buy this top. Crazy, right? But Spring is the time of year to wear fresh colors so maybe I shouldn’t wear black all the time? JK I still love my black but I do love tops like this 🙂
light sweaters
I feel like quoting Miss Congeniality when talking about sweaters – and how April 25th is the best day because you only need a light sweater! I hope everyone who is reading has seen that movie! Anyways, back to the topic at hand – light sweaters for Spring. It’s not hot yet so sweaters can still be an essential part of your wardrobe. Just be sure to pick some light colors, like this one and this one! Oh and I love this combination top/sweater from LOFT.
spring dresses
Wrap dresses with ruffles are SUPER popular right now – I love this one and this one! They’re flattering and cute and would be perfect for a day at Keeneland. (See my fall post on dressing for Keeneland here!) Midi dresses are also popular again for Spring, and I love this blue floral print.
accessories
Time to break out the wedges, espadrilles and fun bags! I love this basic pair and I’m LOVING this bag! And tassel earrings – I just can’t stop with them.
What are you guys picking up for spring? My wishlist is getting so long after writing this post – I need to exhibit some self control! But I might head to the mall this weekend to see if I can try on some of the sweaters and dresses from H&M and Express in person 😉 Might as well try, right?
