We have lived in our house for almost three months now and I’m done shopping for all the furniture we need (aka empty basement now has furniture). But lately I’ve decided I’m not feeling our all grey living room. It just feels meh and I want something different!
You can see our living room in our Lexington home tour, and all that furniture is still with us. We love all the pieces and I’m not hoping to change anything major – just some new accessories to spice up the space! Plus now we have a basement for TV watching and I want our upstairs living space to be a bit more formal.
I’m thinking new throw pillows, side tables, and some other decorative accessories. So I wanted to share some inspiration and also some of the exact items I’m considering!

I feel like her pillows are all to die for and I love how she mixes the prints! I’m leaning towards brighter blues and maybe some pops of pink. I’ve got some of her pillows in the carousel below as well as some finds from Etsy (talk about overwhelming!)
Serena & Lily is also a great source of inspiration!
I love the beachy vibes of Serena and Lily. I have already snagged a rattan tray I’m waiting on and am thinking about where I can have more rattan. The shades of blue throughout all their rooms are also giving me major inspo!
I also LOVE Society Social and her bold and colorful style
LOVE her light blues mixed with bold patterns. And the natural touches show up again! I’m also looking for some accessories to add color to the space. Faux florals, garden stools, trays – those sorts of things. I’ve got lots of ideas below!
You’re probably thinking “wow, that’s so much color!” And yes it is! I definitely am not going this far into the world of color but I do need something fresh in my decor. Just some colorful moments can enhance my grey and white life!
