In case you missed it, I announced on Instagram that I’m pregnant with baby two! Yay 2021!
I am so excited for another baby and have been buying some clothes in the last week – I’ve been restrained until now 🙂 I just bought some sets from LouLou and a set from Mebie Baby.
So what’s different with pregnancy #2?
To start, I have felt SO much more confident this pregnancy. I’m confident that I can continue to workout like I was before. With my first pregnancy I was so nervous about doing “too much” that I basically stopped doing anything. I’m not going as hard – aka not doing the hardest bike rides – but I am still riding 4 or 5 days a week. This exercise has been a game changer for helping me feel strong, healthy, and not stressed. (Full Peloton review here – I’ve now hit 325 rides and want to hit 500 in 2021!)
I also haven’t used pregnancy as an excuse for eating whatever I want. I eat when I’m hungry – and honestly I’m not that much hungrier than before. I know that I will be STARVING all the time those first few weeks of nursing, so pregnancy hunger isn’t really a thing for me.
I’ve been lucky that this pregnancy hasn’t had any symptoms beyond a few weeks of tiredness right away. No nausea, no nothing – which is amazing. I felt the same way with pregnancy #1 so I’m happy to feel that way again. Especially since I have a toddler to manage, and a husband who is still going to work in person, if I was super sick it would be really really hard.
Overall I have been able to enjoy this pregnancy and not feel as anxious about the unknown as before. Sure, it’s going to be a major change going from one to two kids, but I know what labor, delivery, and newborn life looks like. I also have more of a support system now – living near family – and I will be taking advantage of that for sure.
My husband also gifted me a Shipt subscription for Christmas so I’m going to be relying on that heavily in the upcoming months. Not glamorous but essential 🙂
So I will be sharing more thoughts in the upcoming months as I finish out this pregnancy and enter life with two kids. I hope you’ll check back to read more!
