Can’t forget my summer uniform!
So now that it’s Labor Day it’s the end of this glorious season called summer. So since it’s a holiday (yay!) I figured I would do a recap of this speedy summer.
we bought a house and moved!
We moved from St Louis to Lexington and into a new house! Honestly it feels like a lifetime ago that we lived in STL – sometimes it feels like it was a dream. Read more about our move here, and here’s some more about my home decor quest! Here’s a Lexington weekend recap, a life/blog recap, and my original summer bucket list – I honestly hit everything on my list!
we explored KY
One of the best parts about moving is exploring new places! We’ve found some favorite spots like Windy Corner Market and love driving down all the small roads. We’ve explored parks around Lexington, more restaurants, and cute neighborhoods. The Bluegrass really is that beautiful!
we made new friends and started new jobs
Or I should say I’m in the process of making new friends and I’m using my tips weekly. I still have to force myself to go to events when I would rather be boring at home, but it’s paying off. I even had three baby showers last week for all the women I’ve met here! It’s so fun to have things to go to and people to spend time with. Having a Residency Spouse’s group has been such a blessing!
I wore lots of summer clothing
I mean, this is a lifestyle AND fashion blog – so I can’t forget about my outfits! I did a full recap a few weeks ago where I shared all my favorite posts. There are so many good pieces and I’m going to miss some of them! Or just buy them in darker colors for fall/winter – what do you think??
Maybe it’s true – time does get faster when you get older. Maybe 2017 is the year where I’ve finally realized it. But it honestly feels like yesterday was Match Day and we were wondering where we would be moving. But guess what, that was 6 months ago. Time stops for no one!
