So I mentioned before how my husband mocks me for my blanket scarves – and he also thinks this featured piece is hilarious. But ignore him – this faux fur vest is so cozy and fun to wear! Oh and I picked it up at Target – score!

I love vests – you might have noticed if you’ve been following for a while! – so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I have more vests for cooler temps. This vest is like wearing a literal blanket – it’s so cozy and it’s insanely warm! I really have to stick to wearing it on cold days because it borders on too warm.
A faux fur vest is an unexpected accessory because it’s definitely a statement piece. This isn’t your quilted or plaid vest – everyone is going to notice you in fur and most likely comment. And people will want to touch it to see if it’s soft. It happens every time I wear it! Odd I know, but it’s true.
If you’re wearing a statement piece you definitely want to tone down the other elements of your outfit. I opted for a chambray top here and dark denim – both are simple and not flashy. The vest would also be cute with a black dress like this or this. Also, if a vest is oversized – like mine is – be sure not to wear anything else oversized. You don’t want to be too flowy!
The temps have cooled down back to normal here – no more 70s! – which I’m loving. I love the cold so it’s 100% welcome 🙂 Plus it means I can wear all my fall outfits without sweating to death – priorities!
